Apple officially announces AIRPODS PRO, with Noise cancelling for P14,995

Apple’s airpods pro has leaked in the last few months since the Iphone11 was released but nothing has been officially until, today! There was no official event but Apple sent out press releases to global media to announce it.

They’re up for pre-order in the US starting today but no news as to when other markets like the Philippines will get it. Also, with an SRP of 249$, we expect it to hit around 13,995-14995PHP in the PH and directly compete with the Sony WX-1000MX3 wireless buds.

(UPDATE: The official price is 14,995)

For the curious ones, the Pro merely designates the new design that helps with noise isolation in, and noise cancellation via software. Apple says that noise cancellation is adjusted up to 200x per second. Impressive, but we’ll have to test this out ourselves.

We’ll update this blog once we have more information from local reps. For now, all we are promised is 4.5hours on a single charge and up 24hours including the charge from the wireless pods.

Is the extra noise cancelling and new design worth the extra $$$? We’ll find out soon enouugh.
