The Redmi Note7 has finally been unveiled in an event in SM Megamall today, marking the 7th generation of the Note series from Redmi, Xiaomi’s sub-brand for powerful phones with affordable pricrtags.

This being the 7th generation, Redmi has took everything they’ve learned and refined the Note7 to become their best Redmi Note ever. They’ve also listened to end users worldwide to make sure concerns and feedbacks are taken into account when creating a device that would be desired by many.

The result is this:

The Redmi Note 7 is a 6.36″ device with a dot drop notch (as xiaomi calls i5), a 1080×2340 FHD+ resolution, and protected by Gorilla glass 5, both on the front and back.

The bezels are also only 1.9mm thin making it a reallt compact phone. It runs on Android 9 out of the box and will ship with up to 4GB, paired with 128Gb + an option to upgrade storage via MicroSD slot. It’s only 8.1mm thin and 185g.

It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 660 processor (a powerful midranger), a massive 4000Mah battery and support for Qualcomm QuickCharge 4. It will come bundled with an 18W charge inside the box.

It’s most striking feature, though, is the 48-megapixel rear shooter, one of the first phones to have it, plus a half inch sensor for better light capture and better details. There’s also HDR and an F/1.8 to help with light balance and brighter photos, even in the dark.

At this segment, competitors usually use a 12 or 24.P paired with 5 or 8megapixel secondary. As for the front camera, selfies are taken care of by a 13Mp snapper with Ai support.

This shows Xiaomi Redmi’s commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering new technologies straight to consumers at unbelievable pricing. Other features include a TypeC port (a surprise at this segment, a beloved headphone jack and Infrared port for some remote functions.

It will come in 3 great colors, Neptune Blue, Nebula Red and Space Black.
