Every member of the household each have their own use and most times need the device all at the same time. Having a cheap laptop is now considered essential for each home, especially in the Philippines.

So for those on a tight budget, we took it upon ourselves to round up the best cheap laptops available in the country right now! Heads up though that prices may vary and stock might be limited as everyone is still scrambling to get their hands on one these days

LENOVO IDEAPAD D330 2in1 – PHP15,995

82H0000JPH – 10.1in HD Detachable/Celeron N4020/8GB DDR4/128GB eMMC/UHD Graphics 600/Win10 Pro

Our best pick for this budget laptops guide is the Lenovo IdeaPad D330 2in1 laptop for PHP15,995. It’s one of the most expensive on this list but it’s also the one that gives you more versatility and the only one with an 8GB of ram, giving you more allowance for multi tasking.

What we love about this device is that you can use it on tablet mode. The drawback may be the 128GB storage, given it’s in tablet form factor but that can easily be solved by an additional SD card. It’s a full touch screen whether on laptop mode or tablet mode so you can definitely use this laptop in more ways than one.

CHUWI MijaBook – P13,999 (On sale till August 31)

13.3-inch IPS, Intel Celeron N3450 | 8GB RAM | 256GB SSD | Win10

The chuwi Mijabook gets our thumb of approval too because of the 8GB ram and 256GB SSD, even if it is using an older Celeron processor. The price is quite attractive though and the screen resolution is 3200×1800 making it ideal for productivity as you can have more content on the screen versus all other cheap laptops in this list.

After August 31 though, the SRP goes back to P15,995 so grab this deal while you can!

Acer TravelMate B311-31-C0P9 – PHP14,990 (Cash price)

11.6-inch HD Celeron N4020/4GB/64GB eMMC/Intel UHD Graphics/Windows 10 Pro

The Acer travel make is #3 on our list because of it’s durability! Priced at less than P15,000 – the travel mate series is the toughest of all the laptops in this list. Using an N4020 Celeron paired with 4GB + 64GB configuration for Ram/rom – it may seem lacking but the quality of this cheap laptop means anyone at home can use it without fear of breaking down easily – especially if you leave this with your kids at home!

Asus Chromebook C223NA – PHP13,995

11.6In HD, Celeron N3350 CPU, 4GB RAM, 32GB EMMC, Chrome

This Asus device is our #4 pick and while one of the cheapest devices – it comes with a fairly older CPU like the Chuwi Mijabook but doesn’t have the same high resolution or high specification. It’s only paired with 4GB ram and 32GB EMMC which can be quite limiting but the good news is that it uses google’s CHROME OS so it will still feel quite fast and snappy, aside from being super easy to use!

Chromebooks are the most recommended devices for kids and students, and that’s why global shipments during the pandemic actually rose by over 3x versus previous years. In markets like the US or Japan, chromebooks are the best selling devices of the pandemic season.

Lenovo Chromebook C330 81HY0000US (Blizzard White)

11.6-in Touch HD MediaTek MT8173C/4GB/64GB eMMC/PowerVR GX6250/Chrome OS

Rounding up our list of cheap laptops is another entry from Lenovo. This one is priced more expensive than the ASUS Chromebook but with good reason as it is another 2in1 device with touch capabalities. You can rotate it 360 degrees and use it as a tablet or just use it as a regular laptop but touch the screen for convenience.

Like the ASUS chromebook though, the specification is quite limiting at 4GB +64GB memory but, again, this won’t be an issue as google’s chrome OS is very light and works quite well with 4GB ram. You won’t feel that it’s sluggish or lagging when using productivity apps or video conferencing apps like Skype or zoom!
