Hot on the heels of CES, where all brands introduce their most powerful and most impressive devices – some gadgets get overlooked and left unnoticed.
This is the case with ASUS VG279Q monitor. TN panels are widely popular because they can have high refresh rates and fast response times compared to IPS panels. Further, IPS panels are more expensive to manufacture than their TN or VA. The VG279Q aims to change all that, though.
The ASUS VG279Q is a 27inch Gaming monitor with 1MS and 144hz refresh rate out of the box, no OC necessary and this is IMPRESSIVE, atleast on paper. It even comes with Adaptive sync (or freeSync) to make the deal even sweeter. Real world performance may still vary and we have yet to test it but ASUS says that it’s ready for consumer consumption and will be ready this Q1 2019.
No pricing has yet to be announced but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this stays within the current 144hz monitor range of being around Php15,000. If Asus can manage that, then we have a real winner here. (Actually, we wouldnt mind paying up to 19,995 for a combi of IPS+144hz+1ms!!)
For now, here are the detail specifications and more details to chew on until ASUS breaks the price to us in the next few weeks.
