TAIPEI, Taiwan, June 5, 2018 — ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih today hosted a press event at Computex 2018, unveiling all-new products, including the new ZenBook Pro 15 and ZenBook Pro 14 with the revolutionary ASUS ScreenPad input device, the triple-award-winning ZenBook S and a full lineup of new VivoBook notebooks. As part of the new ZenBook and VivoBook introduction, ASUS announced a partnership with Hollywood sensation and leading actress, Gal Gadot, as brand ambassador for ASUS PC product lines. The press event also included a special sneak peek at Project Precog, a brand-new concept device and the world’s first convertible dual-screen notebook equipped with artificial intelligence features. The dual-screen form factor is designed to provide versatility and powerful productivity, and a full set of AI features, including AI Touch and AI Charging, deliver a completely new and evolved user experience.

New VivoBook models include the VivoBook S15 (S530) and VivoBook S14 (S430), a pair of stylish and lightweight notebooks available in a choice of five vibrant colours and several textured finishes. Also announced was the VivoBook S13, which features a 13-inch display in a compact 11-inch body and is the first ASUS notebook to feature a four-sided NanoEdge bezel display, which enables a remarkable 89% screen-to-body ratio for a maximised viewing area. The VivoBook S15, S14 and S13 are powered by the latest 8th Gen Intel^® Core™ processors.

New ZenBook notebooks include the ZenBook Pro 15 (UX580), ZenBook Pro 14 (UX480) and ZenBook S (UX391). Project Precog

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are changing the face of computing, providing new frameworks for evolved user experiences. ASUS is embracing this revolution — and demonstrating just how far-reaching its effects will be — with Project Precog, a concept of the first convertible dual-screen notebook with fully enhanced AI features.

Project Precog implements a novel dual-screen form factor for versatility, expandability and increased productivity. With a 360° hinge joining the two displays, the PC can be used in four modes — Stand, Book, Tent, and Flat — while providing twice the screen space of traditional notebooks. This innovative form factor replaces the traditional physical keyboard and touchpad setup with the flexibility to work with either an extended screen or a customisable interactive interface.

Project Precog is designed to provide a smooth and intuitive experience for industry-leading AI technologies. AI Touch automatically recognises the active input device and changes the virtual interface accordingly. It can automatically adjust the keyboard location depending on where the user places their fingertips, or automatically switch to stylus mode when a stylus touches the lower screen.

With built in Window Cortana and Amazon Alexa, users can get more done with the power of their voice.  The dual-screen design of Project Precog lets users keep their main tasks in full view while virtual assistants process other tasks on the second screen. The enlarged screen real estate is also perfect for apps processing large amounts of data and information, such as the AI-powered Microsoft Office 365^®. Project Precog supports the Intel^® Movidius™ Vision Processor Unit (VPU), and ASUS will encourage developers worldwide to create engaging AI-powered experiences.

VivoBook S15 (S530) and VivoBook S14 (S430)

The new VivoBook S15 (S530) and VivoBook S14 (S430) are stylish and lightweight notebooks available in five vibrant colour options — Firmament Green, Star Grey, Silver Blue, Gun Metal and Icicle Gold — and offer several textured finishes including a unique woven texture for distinct style. The VivoBook S15 and VivoBook S14 weigh only 1.8kg and 1.4kg respectively, and both notebooks are impressively thin at just 18mm. An ErgoLift hinge raises the keyboard to provides a comfortable typing experience similar to a desktop keyboards and also helps improve system cooling for better stability.

The VivoBook S15 and S14 are the first notebooks in the VivoBook Series to feature the new three-sided NanoEdge design that has even narrower bezels along the top and sides of the display. This gives the VivoBook S15 an 86% screen-to-body ratio, and the VivoBook S14 an 84% screen-to-body ratio for an unrivaled immersive viewing experiences in a more compact package.

VivoBook S13 (S330)

The VivoBook S13 (S330) is the first ASUS notebook to feature a four-sided NanoEdge display with a remarkable 89% screen-to-body ratio. The incredibly slim 4.3mm display bezel allows the VivoBook S13 to fit a 13-inch display into a chassis size of a traditional 11-inch notebook. Despite its compact size, the VivoBook S13 delivers uncompromised performance featuring up to the latest 8th Gen Intel^® Core™ i7 processors and NVIDIA^® GeForce^® MX150 graphics.

VivoBook Flip 14 (TP412)

The new VivoBook Flip 14 (TP412) is a stylish new addition to the VivoBook Flip Series of convertible notebooks, featuring a 360°-flippable display that allows this versatile device to be used in notebook, stand, tent and tablet modes — or anything in between. ZenBook Pro 15 (UX580) and ZenBook Pro 14 (UX480)

The new ZenBook Pro Series offers a family of high performing Windows 10 notebooks for professionals that introduces the futuristic new ScreenPad™ — an ASUS innovation that revolutionises the way users work and interact with their notebook. The ASUS ScreenPad cleverly combines a touchpad with a FHD full-colour touchscreen to offer novel ways of interacting intelligently with both Windows apps and dedicated programs called ScreenPad Apps.

The ScreenPad features adaptive functions with context-sensitive tools to enhance workflow and productivity and is fully customisable to allow users to personalise their experience.
