Acer has just announceed it’s 8th generation intel core processor refresh for the Nitro5 and Helios 500. In addition to those lines, Acer annoucnes the Predator Helios 500.
Helios 500
The new Predator Helios 500 is a 17-inch gaming laptop that rocks the best laptop processor in the market today, the i9-8950HK and a GTX1070 with 8GB Ddr5 memory.
Acer highlighted thermals as it’s main focus in the Helios 500, having multiple patents to make sure it keeps the device from throttling or overheating.
The design is based on last year’s Triton 700 which is a Black chassis with blue trims and highlights.

Port white it has 1x USB 3.0 Type-A, 2x USB Type C with Thunderbolt 3, 1x HDMI port and a ful display port. It finally inherits RGB which the Helios 300 does not have.
A white Helios 300 was also announced in the same event.
It’s basically the same Predator Helios 300 but with a white chassis and gold accents. There is an option for 144Hz refresh rate paired with GTX1060.
