Today, Acer announced their back2school program partnership with Samsonite and as we were going through the details – we noticed part numbers of models that are not yet available in the Philippines. This made us dig deeper into the list and, alas, we discovered a section that was headed by the words “New Predator Helios” followed by some new part numbers that we have not yet seen.

Last month, we ran a story that the Helios 500 was coming and up till today, no details have surfaced. We, however, believe that ACER will officially unveil the Helios 500 at their May 23 event in New York.

Given the part numbers of the models listed abover, though, we have reason to believe they’re only an updated Helios 300 with 8th gen processors rather than the new Helios 500 which should come with the code PH515 instead, by our familiarity with Acer’s naming scheme.

The New Predator Helios 300 with 8th gen is actually already available in Philippines via ELN Store with an i5-8300H, 4GB DDR4, 1TB and a GTX1060 for only 64,990 which is quite the steal. Check out the listing here.
